Church Is A Great Gift Of God To Humanity

    By Pastor Alias Jacob

The church is a great gift from God to humanity. Church is one big family of God (1 Pet 3:8) that had the most profound impact on humanity. Church is a spiritual house of living precious stones (1 Pet 2:4-5): “Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”

You are part of a family; you are part of the body of Christ (Romans 12:4-5). Each member belongs to all the others also. When you join a church, all of a sudden, you are a part of the body. Your talents, your presence, your burdens, and your blessings all become a part of the church.

Church is the body of Christ. What Church is not: it’s not a business, not an organization. This was Jesus’ favorite description of the church. He called it “My little flock.” Therefore, the church is cared for and led by shepherds. Shepherds lead, feed, and take care of the sheep. John 21:15 says, “Jesus asked Simon Peter, ‘Do you really love me?’ ‘Yes, Lord,’ said Peter. ‘Then take care of My sheep.’” “Take care” means, that’s the Greek word for “pastor.”

He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer’” (Matt 21:13). Church is also a house of Prayer. We come to connect with God and lay our petitions and supplications at His feet. From there, the Lord intervenes and answers all our prayers.

The church teaches us to be selfless as we are all one body of Christ Jesus for whom He died. Jesus said, “Love one another as I have loved you,” a greatest commandment (John 13:34) to follow. Church operates from this love that is given to us by Christ. Jesus died for the church, and He is coming back for the glorious church.

Church is a body that builds, develops, uplifts, and supports. The work of the church is noted everywhere. The power of the Gospel is wherever the good news reaches. There everything should be made new and good, there is progress and covenantal blessings abound.

Many great organizations to help women and orphanages, old age homes, and charity hospitals were established by the churches. Many great missionaries, when they traveled to countries like the African continent and Asia, shared the gospel and then worked tirelessly to build places such as hospitals, schools, and orphanages to help the communities around them.

Till today, the church operates in the same way. The mission workers take the love of Jesus to the unreached villages and remote communities, and then they support the people by digging wells, helping in farming, etc.

Church is a family of God. It’s a hospital for the sick, it’s a retreat for the hopeless. It becomes what your need is, simply because it is your Father’s house of God, and there is everlasting love and answers to all your prayers in Jesus’s name. The power of His love makes all things work together for your good (Romans 8:28): “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”

  • Born To Be A King

    Born To Be A King

    By Pastor Alias Jacob

Jesus was born to be a King. The wise men from the East presented Jesus with gold, frankincense, even the Queen of Sheba presented gold and spices to King Solomon (1 Kings 10:10) as it was custom to bring gifts to a king when they come into his presence.

Have you ever wondered why the Magi asked King Herod, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews?” (Matthew 2:2). They obviously took the prophecies of the Christ as the anointed King literally. And so did Herod, who then tried to kill any possible competitor for the throne. Jesus was born to be a King.

Matthew clearly shows that Jesus was of the royal lineage of Israel’s most famous king, King David. Jesus Himself, when he was arrested and presented to the Roman Governor Pilate, plainly stated, “You say rightly that I am a King. For this purpose, I was born, and for this purpose I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth” (John 18:37).

Jesus was born to be a king and you his children also are Kings. And those who believe in Jesus Christ are washed by his blood not just from sins but to be made kings and priests unto God (Rev 1:5-6). Have you ever realized that you too were born to be a king under the King of Kings.

The Bible says God has made us as Kings and Priests in Rev 1:6. Have you ever wondered you carry the genes of a King? To become and to be transformed into a King we must fix our eyes on Jesus the King of Kings, because he is the only one who came from heaven and lived on this earth and died to save His people from their sins like a true King.

We all know Jesus is the King of Kings, He brought the Kingdom of God down on the earth. Today we are the Kingdom of God here on earth through Christ Jesus. He considers himself to be the King only to serve his people.

Today when the world is so focused on the position and power of the kingship, we, the children of God must be fixed on the responsibility of a King. The world is busy setting up kings and building kingdom with pomp, fashion, having dominion and lavish luxury but this does not prepare one to be a king.

The real king on the inside is full of humility, operating from peace within and when he opens his mouth the words of life, healing and wisdom flows out. He doesn’t run for power for he knows its within him. (1 John 4:4) The real king is a blessing to the people, having a servant attitude.

How he can save, protect and provide for his people, always runs on his mind. Kindness and love are his virtue. He operates from the place of wisdom and knowledge of knowing his real identity in Christ. We must remember before honor is humility (Prov 18:12). Just like us the true sons of God, once we know who is our father, we must live in consciousness of him and not of us. Then we will realize we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood (1 Pet 2:9). We must discover we are born to be a King, each one in their own unique way.

  • God Is Alone Our Goodness

    God Is Alone Our Goodness

    By – Soniya Pawar

O my soul, you have said to the LORD, “You are my Lord, My goodness is nothing apart from You.” (Psalm 16:2 NKJV)

King David says to the Lord, “my goodness is nothing apart from you.” He was absolutely convinced that all goodness he is having, facing, or even going to see is only from God. Another version says, “You are my Lord; I have nothing good outside of you.” For a child, whatever his father does or gives is the best for him. God is a good father. The Bible says, if we, being wicked, know how to give good gifts to our children, how much more the Father in heaven. (Matt 7:11)

In James, it says all good things come from the Father of lights. (James 1:17) Sometimes in life, when we expect a blessing from God, such as a job, marriage, or anything we desire, and it doesn’t come in the way we expected, we become upset, thinking, “Lord, this is not what we were looking for” or “this is not what we expected.” We start to feel that God is not being fair to us. We must know He is our God and our Father. He has already seen our end from the beginning: “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways And My thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9)

The things which appear to look good outside of His will are just a deceptive illusion and short-lived. When in the Garden of Eden, Eve saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes. (Genesis 3:6) But was it good? Eventually, death came upon mankind.

Even today, many of us struggle to accept the will of God. God has only planned to prosper us and to give us a great future. (Jeremiah 29:11) The will of God alone is good for us, and God alone has the power to give us a great future because when God declares His word, He has the power to keep His word. No one has this good plan for us, not even we ourselves. We are miserable without God, and without His mercy, we only become self-destructive.

We need to know that when He gives a blessing, He will also bless the blessing. God is our Father, and He knows what we need even before we ask. (Matt 6:8, 32) He gives you the strength to endure, the strength to adapt, and the wisdom to work through it. Everything that comes from God—the good, the worst, the wicked—everything has a purpose to build in you a character of Christ stronger day by day. So, everything is building your inner man who is in Christ. Daily, your heart, mind, body, and soul are getting occupied by Christ, and you are being transformed into His image slowly. No matter what comes your way—the good and the evil—it’s all going to work together for your good. (Romans 8:28)

There is nothing good for us outside of God. This is not just a verse; it should also become our mindset. When we know this truth, it makes a lot of things easier to understand why things happened the way they happened. If God didn’t allow it, it was not for our good.

King David says, “Your goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life.” (Psalm 23:6) The goodness of God keeps following us, and when we face difficult times, He even makes all His goodness pass before us. (Exodus 33:19) to show us He is with us at all times. We, as children of God, are surrounded by His goodness.
